Where we focus our development.
A development platform is defined as much by what it chooses not to do as by its priorities. KORA today concentrates its development work on four areas where the needs are most decisive for the region and where our method creates the most value. These are thematic areas: they describe our orientation, not a portfolio of committed projects.
Transport corridors
The corridors that connect ports, production zones and inland markets are among the most decisive infrastructure for regional economic integration — and among the most complex to arrange. KORA works to turn these priorities into bankable projects, able to bring public financing, development lenders and international operators together around a sound arrangement.
Energy
Reliable power access remains one of the main constraints on the region’s industrial and territorial development. KORA focuses its development work on generation, transmission and distribution projects that can be structured on a bankable basis and mobilize the right financing — DFIs, ECAs and investors.
Industrial infrastructure
Industrial platforms and economic zones make it possible to process resources locally rather than export them raw — a major lever of regional value. KORA works to arrange these projects so that they connect public ambition, private investment and technical delivery within a financeable framework.
Agriculture & agro-industry
Agricultural and agro-industrial infrastructure determines how much value a region keeps from what it produces. KORA is drawn to projects — irrigation, storage, processing, logistics — that strengthen local value chains and can be arranged to attract durable financing.
"These priorities evolve with the region and with the opportunities we develop. Public, financial and technical partners who share these orientations are invited to start the conversation.
